The world of arts journalism lost one of its most luminous voices on November 1, 2025 — All Saints' Day — when Rebeca Herrero, the founder and publisher of Art Bodega Magazine, passed away suddenly at the age of 49.

This final issue of the magazine she built from nothing into something extraordinary is dedicated entirely to her. Born in Venezuela and raised in Puerto Rico, Rebeca was a periodista in the truest, most classical meaning of the term — a chronicler and truth-teller dressed in glamour.

In 2013, she founded Art Bodega Magazine as a luxury quarterly unlike anything in the market. She lived the magazine she published. A perfectionist who treated every cover as if it were her first and every story as if it were her last. She will be missed beyond measure.
